The free concert is now set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Shelter Cove Beach, according to the Toms River Recreation Department and Mayor Daniel Rodrick.

Storms prompted schedule change

Township officials announced the new date after forecasts called for stormy weather, making it unsafe to hold the outdoor concert as originally planned.

“Due to storms in the forecast there is a NEW DATE: THIS WEDNESDAY 7/29 – 7 PM at Shelter Cove Beach,” the township said in its announcement.

Free shuttle service available

Residents attending the concert can take advantage of complimentary shuttle service from Toms River High School East.

Organizers encourage concertgoers to bring their own chairs or blankets, along with snacks, for the outdoor performance along the waterfront.
