Toms River, NJ – The Ocean County Jail reported multiple new inmate bookings on Wednesday and Thursday, with defendants facing a variety of criminal charges filed by law enforcement agencies throughout Ocean County.

Eluding, shoplifting charges filed against Erika Miekley

Erika Marie Miekley, 26, was booked Thursday on charges including third-degree eluding law enforcement, fourth-degree shoplifting by concealment, driving without a valid driver’s license, and driving while suspended or revoked.

Jail records show Miekley is being held on a no-bail matter along with additional cash bonds totaling $3,750.

Weapons offenses lead Thursday booking

Daniel Joseph Biebvower, 44, was committed to the Ocean County Jail Thursday on multiple weapons charges. Authorities charged him with two counts of fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and one count of unlawful possession of a loaded weapon.

He is being held without bail.

Assault and juvenile-related offense reported

Jenilee Mulewski, 41, was booked Thursday on a charge of simple assault alleging she purposely or knowingly caused bodily injury to another person. Jail records also list a truancy or juvenile delinquency-related offense.

She remains held on a no-bail matter with an additional $1,101 cash bond.

Man charged with eluding police

Vance Leevione Banks, 53, was committed Thursday after being charged with third-degree eluding law enforcement and fourth-degree obstruction of the administration of law.

Authorities are holding Banks without bail.

Theft charge filed against Georgia citizen

Tamaz Davituri, 43, a citizen of Georgia, was booked Thursday on a fourth-degree charge of theft by unlawful taking.

He is being held without bail pending court proceedings.

Assault arrest reported

Michael Cerosky, 59, was committed Wednesday on a charge of simple assault alleging he purposely or knowingly caused bodily injury to another person.

He remains held without bail.

Shoplifting and criminal mischief charges

Simcha Labovitz, 30, was booked Wednesday on separate cases charging fourth-degree shoplifting and third-degree criminal mischief involving property damage.

Jail records indicate he is being held without bail.

Parole violation

Steven C. Burt, 57, was committed Wednesday on a parole violation. He is being held without bail.

Burglary charge

Aaron Jaquel Carpenter, 41, was booked Wednesday on a burglary charge alleging unlawful entry into a structure.

He remains held without bail.

Assault on corrections employee alleged

Michael Edward Wegeman, 29, was committed Wednesday on a charge of aggravated assault on a correctional employee, probation officer, sheriff’s officer, or similar public safety official. He also faces a disorderly persons offense alleging violent behavior.

Jail records list a $500 cash bond on the disorderly persons charge in addition to the no-bail criminal matter.

Theft, forgery, identity charges

Evelyn Rita Wergen, 60, was booked Wednesday on charges of theft by unlawful taking, forgery, exhibiting a false identification document, and assuming a false identity.

She is being held on a $20,000 cash bond.
