Police say suspect was arrested at the scene following the evening attack

HANOVER, Md. — A dispute over a parking space turned violent in Hanover when one man allegedly stabbed another in the torso, leaving the victim hospitalized and the suspect under arrest, according to Anne Arundel County police.

Officers responded at about 8:35 p.m. Wednesday to the 7600 block of Dorchester Boulevard for a reported assault.

When officers arrived, they found a 48-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the torso.

Investigators said the victim and another man became involved in a parking dispute that escalated into a physical confrontation, during which the victim was stabbed.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.

Police arrested the suspect at the scene.

The suspect was identified as Tony Maurice Horne, 65, of Catonsville. He has been charged in connection with the incident.

Anne Arundel County Police continue to investigate the assault.
