Police release surveillance images in renewed hunt for 14th Street stabbing suspect
WASHINGTON, DC – A knife-wielding attacker approached a person on 14th Street in Northwest DC, stabbed the victim and fled, and police are now seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect three months after the attack.
The stabbing happened at approximately 6 a.m. Sunday, May 10, in the 2000 block of 14th Street NW, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said the suspect approached the victim, brandished a knife and stabbed the person before fleeing the scene.
The victim made their own way to a local hospital and was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police did not disclose what led to the encounter or whether the suspect and victim knew each other.
Investigators obtained surveillance images of the person sought in connection with the stabbing. Police released those images Tuesday in an effort to identify and locate the suspect.
No arrest or suspect identification was announced in the department’s release.
Police are warning anyone who recognizes the person not to take action themselves.

The department offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a person or people responsible for a violent crime committed in DC.
