ABERDEEN, NJ — Aberdeen PBA Local 163 is preparing for its annual Trunk or Treat celebration, and organizers are calling on residents to help fill the parking lot with decorated vehicles.
The event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Matawan Regional High School, 450 Atlantic Avenue. Registration is now open for vehicle owners who want to distribute candy from decorated trunks.
Aberdeen PBA calls for more trunks
Organizers said additional vehicles are needed to make this year’s event bigger for local families. All vehicles participating in the trunk-decorating portion must be registered in advance through the Aberdeen PBA Trunk or Treat page.
The celebration is free and open to the public. Guests are asked to bring one bag of candy to donate upon arrival.
A prize will be awarded for the best trunk design.
Music, vendors and hayrides planned
Families can expect music, vendors, community attractions and hayrides throughout the afternoon. The event is being held in honor of Clyde Cameron, according to the PBA.
The host site, Matawan Regional High School, serves the Matawan-Aberdeen community and is located in Aberdeen Township.

Shirt orders close Oct. 10
Event shirts are available for preorder through Oct. 10. Organizers said only a limited number will be offered for purchase during the event.
