After quoting the words of former U.S. President Barack Obama on the importance of father absence in black families, a New Jersey man was arrested by police. Robert Vessechia, a 55-year-old Chatham resident and former local youth football coach was arrested after allegedly causing a scene outside the meeting.
Nobody is quite sure why he gave the speech. At one point a school board member asked if Vessechia was in the right place. Police said once outside, Vessechia caused a disturbance that warranted police response.
Vessechia could not be reached for comment.
