Man Found Dead on Pier Near Intrepid Museum

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A man was found dead with a stab wound to the chest on a pier just south of the Intrepid Museum in Manhattan on Thursday.

The incident took place on Thursday at approximately 5:50 a.m. local time near 12th Avenue and West 44th Street (Pier 84).

Upon receiving a 911 call, NYPD officers arrived at the scene and discovered a 35-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest. Emergency Medical Services were called and the victim was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital.

NYPD Detectives are actively searching for the individual believed to be responsible for the homicide. The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, sporting a Caesar hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, light shorts, and white sneakers, while carrying a black cross-body bag and a black backpack.

Additionally, there are four other individuals sought for questioning in connection with this incident. The first individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a dark-colored cap, black shirt, blue shorts, two-tone shoes, and carrying a backpack. The second individual is described as a male with a light complexion, wearing a two-tone cap, white shirt, red shorts, and red shoes. The third individual is described as a male with a light complexion, wearing a light cap, dark-colored sweatshirt, black shorts, and sneakers. The fourth individual is described as a male with a medium complexion, wearing a dark-colored cap, white shirt, gray pants, light blue sneakers, and carrying a black cross-body bag and a black backpack.

He victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The victim was not identified by police at this time.

At present, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
