Secaucus, NJ — On November 14, Secaucus Police Officers Justin Machno and Kiril Petrov, part of the specialized “Power Shift” unit, made a significant drug seizure during a routine patrol.
The incident began around 8:23 P.M. at 700 Plaza Drive. Officer Machno noticed a 2009 Acura TL parked improperly. The car’s license plate was not registered in any database. Noah Gregg, 29, from New York, NY, approached the vehicle but denied ownership, contradicting Machno’s earlier observation of him exiting the car.
Suspicious of criminal activity, the officers called in K-9 Brix. The dog indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. A subsequent search led to the discovery of over 1,800 ecstasy pills and more than 4.5 ounces of cocaine. Additionally, a stolen North Carolina license plate was found inside.
Gregg was arrested at the scene. Chief Dennis Miller praised the officers’ vigilance and skill, highlighting the effectiveness of the “Power Shift” team in combating drug-related offenses.
