Two Teens Injured in Essex Shooting

TOWSON, MD – A shooting incident in Essex is under investigation after two 15-year-old males suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred shortly before noon on January 14, 2024, in the area of Old Eastern and Selig Avenues, ZIP code 21221.

Officers from the Essex Precinct responded to the reported shooting and found the injured teenagers upon arrival. Due to their ages, the identities of the victims are being withheld.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit are actively investigating the circumstances of the shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information relevant to the case to contact the Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020. Additionally, anonymous tips can be given through Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587 (7LOCKUP), with information potentially eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
