ALBEMARLE COUNTY, VA – Following an investigation into a reported sexual assault, the Albemarle County Police Department arrested 28-year-old local resident Cameron Scott Jared Mayo on Friday.
Mayo, accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile under 13, has been charged with rape by sexual intercourse and forcible sodomy of a child less than 13 years old. He was 18 or older at the time of the offense. Mayo is currently being held at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail without bond.
