Alexandria Deputy Accidentally Shot Himself at Training Academy

ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA – An Alexandria Sheriff’s Office deputy is recovering after he unintentionally discharged a round from his duty weapon which struck his leg. The incident happened at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy. The incident was not training-related. The academy staff rendered first aid and the deputy was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
