Alexandria police arrest suspect in Wythe Street shooting

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — A 32-year-old man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a shooting inside a building on the 300 block of Wythe Street on Sunday night, according to Alexandria Police.

Officers responded to the scene at approximately 8:06 p.m. and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, where his condition remains critical.

Police arrested Davonte Lamar Keys, a 30-year-old Alexandria resident, in connection with the incident. Keys has been charged with felony malicious wounding and is being held without bond, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are seeking additional information about the shooting.
