Anne Arundel County woman wins $50,000 on Mega Bucks scratch-off

CROWNSVILLE, MD (Feb. 28, 2025) – A food service worker in Anne Arundel County won a $50,000 second-tier prize on the Mega Bucks scratch-off game after a series of small wins added up to a major payout.

The winner, identified only as “Sandra,” purchased the $10 ticket at Herald Harbor Inn & Mini Mart, located at 400 Herald Harbor Road. She initially revealed a $25 prize, followed by a $1,000 win, before uncovering four $10,000 prizes, nine $1,000 prizes, and multiple smaller amounts that totaled $50,000.

“I was so excited. My heart started to drop. The first thing I did was call my family,” Sandra said.

The Mega Bucks scratch-off went on sale Nov. 27, with three of 10 $50,000 prizes now claimed. Six of the nine $100,000 top prizes remain unclaimed, along with other prizes ranging from $10 to $10,000.
