Police say a suspect pointed a handgun at a driver before taking off with the victim’s vehicle Monday night

ROCKVILLE, MD — A driver was forced out of a vehicle at gunpoint Monday night after an armed suspect carried out a carjacking in Rockville, according to Montgomery County police.

The carjacking occurred at approximately 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Hungerford Drive.

Police said the suspect displayed a handgun, ordered the driver out of the vehicle and drove away in the stolen vehicle.

No additional information about the suspect or the stolen vehicle has been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
