Armed robbery at Towne Point Apartments under investigation

DOVER, Del. — The Dover Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place early Sunday morning at Towne Point Apartments.

Officers responded at approximately 5:19 a.m. after receiving a report of a robbery at 820 Carvel Drive. Two victims told police they had gone to the location to meet someone when two armed men approached them.

The suspects, described as two Black males, displayed firearms and demanded the victims hand over their belongings, including the keys to their vehicle. The victims complied, and the suspects fled the scene in the stolen car.

Authorities later found the vehicle abandoned on Willis Road, but no suspects have been identified. There are currently no additional leads in the case.

Investigators are continuing to search for the suspects in the early morning armed robbery.
