WASHINGTON, DC – A frightening armed robbery unfolded on October 10, prompting the search for a suspect in the Southwest neighborhood.

At approximately 8:08 p.m., the suspect approached the victims in the 700 block of Wharf Street, Southwest. Brandishing a firearm, the suspect assaulted one victim and stole their property before fleeing the scene. Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the suspect.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has information about the incident is urged to call police at (202) 727-9099 or text their tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.
