Armed robbery suspects sought after violent attack on Delaware Avenue

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery Tuesday afternoon in Southwest Washington, where a victim was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 700 block of Delaware Avenue SW. One suspect displayed a handgun while demanding the victim’s property before both suspects attacked the victim and fled.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, and police have released photos to aid in identification.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
