Armed robbery suspects wanted for multiple incidents in New York City

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect connected to a series of robberies involving knife-point threats across Manhattan and the Bronx last month.

Authorities report that the suspect is linked to four separate incidents that occurred within the 33rd and 43rd Precincts between May 28 and May 29. In each case, the suspect approached victims on foot, displayed a knife, and fled on a moped after the robbery.

In the first incident on May 28 at approximately 5:36 a.m., two women, ages 28 and 27, were walking near 515 Edgecombe Avenue when they were confronted. The suspect displayed a knife and attempted to steal their belongings but ultimately fled westbound on 158th Street without taking any property. No injuries were reported.

Later that morning, around 5:57 a.m., a 60-year-old man was robbed near 260 Audubon Avenue. The suspect approached the victim, displayed a knife, and stole his wallet containing approximately $75 before fleeing southbound on 178th Street on a moped.

Multiple incidents involved similar suspect behavior

The following day, May 29, at about 5:30 a.m., a 58-year-old man was targeted in front of 540 West 165th Street. In this instance, two unidentified individuals were involved. One suspect displayed a knife and stole the victim’s wallet containing approximately $80. The pair then fled northbound on 165th Street on a moped. No injuries occurred.

In a related incident within the 43rd Precinct, on May 28 at approximately 4:05 a.m., a 59-year-old man was robbed near Metcalf Avenue and Westchester Avenue. The suspect displayed a knife and stole the victim’s wallet containing about $32 before fleeing northbound on Morrison Avenue on a moped. No injuries were reported.

The NYPD has released surveillance images of the suspect and continues to investigate the incidents.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact the NYPD as they work to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the series of armed robberies.
