Arrest made in Boston stabbing incident

On Wednesday, April 24, officers from the Boston Police Department arrested Paul Joseph, 18, of Dorchester at 12:25 PM.

The arrest was made in connection to assault and battery charges following an incident at 9 Peacevale Road. Upon receiving a report of a person stabbed, law enforcement arrived to find Boston EMS attending to a male victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds. Staff members at the school informed the officers that the suspect had been isolated and moved to a separate location.

After detaining the suspect, officers discovered a knife on the premises within the library.

The injured victim was then promptly taken to a nearby medical facility, his injuries fortunately deemed not life-threatening. Joseph was taken into police custody and subsequently charged with assault and battery using a dangerous weapon, specifically a knife.

The suspect is set to face arraignment at Dorchester District Court.
