Arrest Made in Connection with D.C. Robberies

WASHINGTON, DC—D.C. Metro Police Department detectives have made an arrest and continue their search for additional suspects linked to two robberies in Southeast Washington. The incidents occurred on March 26, and detectives announced the arrest of a 14-year-old male from Southeast DC on Monday for his involvement in one of the robberies.

The first incident took place at around 6:50 p.m. in the 800 block of I Street, Southeast, where the suspects assaulted a victim and stole their purse.

The second robbery occurred later that evening around 10:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of 2nd Place, Southeast. In this instance, the suspects attempted to rob another victim who resisted, although they managed to snatch vehicle keys.

Police are actively seeking other individuals involved, as they were captured on nearby cameras.
