ANNAPOLIS, MD – Recruits from the Maryland Natural Resources Police were trained on hunting laws and how to accommodate hunters while out patrolling the state’s protected natural resources. According to the MNRP, their officers are often the first in line to be questioned about the state’s hunting laws during hunting season.

“The Maryland Natural Resources Police recruits received hunter education training this month. NRP officers are tasked with enforcing Maryland’s hunting regulations and helping to preserve wildlife. Therefore, they must be knowledgeable about the laws,” the agency said. “It is not uncommon for officers to be approached for clarification regarding hunting laws. Training such as this will help them be equipped to answer. NRP’s hunter education coordinators instructed the class.”
