Asbury Park Prepares for Annual Zombie Walk and Undead Festival

October 4, 2024

ASBURY PARK, N.J. — The annual Asbury Park Zombie Walk and Undead Festival is set to take over the city’s boardwalk on Saturday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The free event, now in its 16th year, will see thousands of participants don their best zombie attire for a day dedicated to all things horror and undead.

The Zombie Walk, which first began in 2008, has grown into a massive celebration of zombie culture, attracting hordes of participants each year. In previous years, the event held the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of zombies, boasting over 10,000 attendees before being surpassed in 2014 by an event in Minneapolis.

The walk begins at the Asbury Park Boardwalk, and the day will be filled with horror-themed activities and entertainment, making it a must-see event for fans of the undead.
