Assault Charges Filed Following Domestic Dispute in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, PA – An incident of assault following a domestic dispute led to charges against a 23-year-old woman from Wilkes-Barre. The altercation occurred on June 20 at approximately 7:44 PM at the intersection of South Welles Street and Park Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to Park Avenue after receiving reports of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they met with the 26-year-old male victim, also from Wilkes-Barre, who reported a confrontation with Ana Castillo. According to the victim, after a verbal altercation inside a residence on South Welles Street, he left to distance himself from Castillo. However, while he was seated in his vehicle on Park Avenue, Castillo approached and entered his vehicle, where she began to physically assault him, reportedly punching and scratching him repeatedly before fleeing the scene.

Ana Castillo has been charged in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and local authorities are handling the case.
