Assault leads to arrest at Motel 6 in Stafford County

STAFFORD, Va. — A late-night disturbance at a Motel 6 on Warrenton Road resulted in an arrest after a man was struck with a plate, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Sergeant J.D. Hurt responded to a call about a loud argument at the motel around 2:30 a.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, Sgt. Hurt witnessed the victim being struck with a plate during the altercation.

Authorities calmed the situation, and a warrant for assault and battery was served on the individual responsible for launching the plate. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest in its daily incident report.

The identities of the individuals involved were not released.
