Assault on Queens Bus Leaves Man Injured

QUEENS, NY — Police are investigating an assault that occurred on a Q53 bus on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 PM, a 37-year-old male was aboard the bus near 101 Avenue and Woodhaven Boulevard when he was approached by two unknown individuals. A verbal dispute escalated, resulting in the individuals striking the victim multiple times in the head with a glass bottle. The attack caused lacerations to the victim’s head and face.

The assailants fled northbound on Woodhaven Boulevard. The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the NYPD.
