ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – The Atlantic City Police Department has arrested Nicholas Hall, 36, of Atlantic City, in connection with a stabbing incident. Initially posing as a witness, Hall was later identified as the assailant.
The incident occurred on December 4 at approximately 4:42 PM at an apartment complex in the first block of South Iowa Avenue. Officers responded to reports of a 45-year-old man from Atlantic City suffering from a stab wound to his leg. Officer Christopher Campbell, who arrived at the scene, provided immediate medical aid by applying a tourniquet to the victim’s leg. The victim was then transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with non-life-threatening injuries.
Hall initially informed Officer Campbell that he had witnessed the victim being robbed. However, subsequent investigations by patrol officers and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Section revealed that Hall had stabbed the victim following a dispute. Hall was apprehended inside an apartment and was found to have outstanding arrest warrants.
Hall faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
