Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Engages Students on Internet Safety

October 9, 2024

Northfield, NJ – The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office participated in educational sessions at Northfield Community School and Bellhaven Middle School in Linwood to discuss internet safety. Organized with the help of Principals Kevin Morrison and Jennifer Luff, the event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of safe online behavior.

Prosecutor Reynolds, accompanied by Detective Keith Epstein and Executive Assistant Prosecutor Rick McKelvey, led the discussions. Their presentations focused on techniques to protect personal information and strategies for safeguarding children from potential online threats.

The initiative highlights the necessity for both children and parents to understand and implement measures for safe communication online. It stresses the importance of education in reducing risks associated with internet usage among young individuals.

Schools interested in hosting similar presentations by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office are encouraged to submit a request via their community page at [https://www.acpo.org/community-page/174](https://www.acpo.org/community-page/174). Through collaboration with educational institutions, the office aims to promote a safer digital environment for students.
