Attempted Robbery Investigation Underway in Brooklyn Park

BROOKLYN PARK, MD – The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Northern District is actively investigating an attempted robbery involving a citizen that occurred in Brooklyn Park.

The incident took place on April 4, 2024, around 2:45 PM, at a private residence located in the 200 block of Hilltop Road West. A 51-year-old man, who was visiting a friend’s house, reported being attacked by an assailant. The suspect reportedly assaulted the victim with repeated punches to the face while demanding money. Upon discovering that the victim did not have any money, the assailant fled the scene.

Despite the violence of the encounter, the victim declined medical treatment. The Anne Arundel County Police Department is now seeking assistance from the public in gathering information related to this attempted robbery.

The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify and apprehend the suspect involved.
