Attempted robbery turns violent as man shot in Baltimore

Detectives say a 34-year-old man was shot after an attempted robbery, with investigators tracing the crime scene to Pulaski Highway

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 34-year-old man was hospitalized after an attempted robbery escalated into a shooting Thursday night in Southeast Baltimore, according to police.

Officers responded at approximately 9:49 p.m. to the 100 block of North Curley Street following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Southeast District shooting detectives took over the investigation and later determined the shooting occurred in the 3300 block of Pulaski Highway.

According to investigators, the shooting stemmed from an attempted robbery.

Police have not released information about a suspect, arrests, or additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
