Police say early morning gunfire left victim wounded in Parkville area
Baltimore County, MD – A Baltimore County man is facing attempted murder charges following a road rage shooting that left another driver injured Friday morning in the Parkville area, police said.
Detectives with the department’s Violent Crimes Unit identified 36-year-old Salaahud Punnette as the suspect in the shooting, which occurred around 6:20 a.m. near Perring Parkway and Putty Hill Avenue.
Victim wounded during early morning confrontation
Officers responding to the scene found a 28-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his upper extremity. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
“Detectives have determined this incident stemmed from an isolated road rage incident and there is no active threat to the community,” Baltimore County Police said.

Suspect held without bail on multiple charges
Punnette has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and multiple firearms-related offenses. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
