PIKESVILLE, MD – The Baltimore County Police Department’s Pikesville Precinct Community Outreach Team spent this week spreading warmth in more ways than one, delivering hundreds of winter clothing items to local children in need.

According to the department, the outreach team recently held a Winter Clothing Drive that drew strong support from officers and residents alike. The donations included new coats, gloves, and hats, all of which were distributed Tuesday to the Y Head Start program at the Campfield Center.

Police said staff at the center quickly organized the donations to ensure children received the items ahead of the coldest part of the season.

The initiative, part of the precinct’s ongoing community engagement efforts, was described by officers as a way to connect with families while helping them prepare for winter. The department expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the drive, calling the turnout “a testament to the generosity of our community.”
