BALTIMORE, MD – Baltimore Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a deadly shooting last week in the city’s Southern District. Investigators identified the suspect as Devin Shadle, who they say fatally shot 19-year-old Davon Smallwood on December 10.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 5:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Harman Avenue, where they found Smallwood suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A few hours later, patrol officers located and arrested Shadle in the 2500 block of Washington Boulevard. He was taken to Central Booking and charged with murder.
Police said homicide detectives quickly connected Shadle to the shooting through investigative leads developed in the hours following the crime.
