BALTIMORE, MD — A silent alarm triggered a police response to a business on the 2400 block of Frederick Avenue around 6:57 PM on April 24, where officers interrupted a violent altercation between two teenagers. Upon breaking up the fight, police identified and arrested the aggressor, a 17-year-old male suspect attempting to rob another 17-year-old, who was an employee of the business.

The confrontation escalated after the suspect pointed a handgun at the employee and stole his property, resulting in a physical altercation. The employee sustained minor injuries and received on-scene medical treatment. Police seized gel caps with suspected controlled dangerous substances and the handgun used in the robbery.

The arrested suspect was processed at the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he will face charges related to the attempted armed robbery.
