Baltimore Police Nab Suspect in Brutal Armed Robbery

BALTIMORE, MD—A suspect has been arrested in connection with a violent armed robbery that occurred earlier this month in Baltimore’s Eastern District. The incident occurred on July 6, around 6:23 p.m., in the 300 block of East Lafayette Avenue.

A female victim reported she was assaulted and robbed by a male suspect who struck her several times in the face and head with a firearm before fleeing the scene. The victim was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment of her injuries. Detectives identified the suspect following an investigation and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On July 16, the Warrant Apprehension Task Force and the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force successfully apprehended the 37-year-old male suspect. He is now being processed at the Central Booking Intake Facility.
