Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Police have announced the arrest of 32-year-old Shairor Whitaker on charges of attempted first-degree murder. The arrest, executed yesterday relates to a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of March 3 in Southern Baltimore.
Detectives assert that Whitaker is responsible for shooting a 48-year-old woman in the 800 block of Bethune Road. Following the issuance of an arrest warrant, Whitaker was apprehended and taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he now faces serious legal proceedings.
The incident came to light when Southern District officers were called to a local hospital on March 3, shortly after 4:30 a.m., to investigate a report of a shooting victim. Upon arrival, they found a 48-year-old female patient receiving medical treatment for gunshot wounds, thankfully non-life-threatening. The victim disclosed to the officers that she had been shot while on Bethune Road, prompting an investigation that led to Whitaker’s arrest.
