BALTIMORE, MD—A shooting in the Western District has left a man in critical condition, prompting a response from local law enforcement and homicide detectives.

The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 5:02 p.m. along the 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Officers were alerted by a ShotSpotter notification and, upon arrival, found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.
