BALTIMORE, Md. — A teenager was killed Monday evening after multiple gunshots rang out on East Preston Street, triggering a homicide investigation in Baltimore’s Eastern District.
Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of East Preston Street at approximately 5:40 p.m. on May 19 following several alerts from the city’s ShotSpotter system. Upon arrival, they discovered an 18-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Medics transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. His identity has not yet been released.
The Baltimore Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the case. No arrests have been announced, and a motive has not been disclosed.
