Teen murder suspect tracked down weeks after deadly Baltimore shooting

Baltimore, MD — A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy in North Baltimore, weeks after the killing sparked an ongoing homicide investigation.

Tyshawn Brown was taken into custody April 13 in the 2400 block of Callow Avenue, according to Baltimore Police.

Brown is accused in the March 6 killing of Jaythan Day, who was found shot in the 1400 block of West Old Cold Spring Lane. The teenage victim later died from his injuries.

Following his arrest, Brown was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.

Detectives with the Northern District Homicide Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No additional details have been released.
