Baltimore, MD — A Baltimore woman has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder following a fatal shooting that took place in the city’s Western District earlier this month. Authorities have identified the suspect as 38-year-old Teresa Collins.

The incident occurred on September 22 in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, where Collins allegedly shot and killed 33-year-old Jasmine Simuel. According to investigators, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene following the shooting. Further details regarding the motive or events leading up to the shooting have not been disclosed.

After an investigation, detectives located and apprehended Collins on September 26. She was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and formally charged with first-degree murder. Collins is currently being held without bail as the case proceeds through the judicial system.
