Belleville Police Department Introduces New School Resource Officers

BELLEVILLE, NJ – The Belleville Police Department has announced the appointment of two new School Resource Officers (SROs) for the district. Detective Ansuma Marbey has been selected to serve as the SRO for Belleville High School, while Officer Rey Ferrer will take on the role at Belleville Middle School.

Chief of Police Mark Minichini introduced the officers, noting their extensive experience and qualifications. “Both of these officers have been great additions to our agency, and they both bring many years of experience, training, and certifications,” the department said in a statement.

Marbey and Ferrer will be assigned full-time to their respective schools, working closely with students, staff, and parents. The department encourages the school community to welcome the officers and engage with them during their time at the schools.
