Bensalem Township Council Approves Fire Department Consolidation

BENSALEM, PA – The Bensalem Township Council has approved a resolution to consolidate six volunteer fire departments into a single entity, the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department. The unanimous decision follows two and a half years of planning and collaboration involving the Bensalem Township Department of Public Safety and Mayor DiGirolamo’s administration.

Director McVey and Deputy Director Race expressed their gratitude to the steering committee and the township’s volunteer firefighters for their contributions.
