New City, NY — A serious motor vehicle collision involving a 2024 Kenworth dump truck and a bicyclist occurred on July 10 at approximately 2:10 p.m. near the intersection of South Main Street and First Street, according to the Clarkstown Police Department.

The incident involved both the dump truck and the bicyclist, a 13-year-old male, traveling northbound on the east side of South Main Street. Preliminary investigations indicate that the collision happened as the truck attempted to make a right turn onto First Street while the bicyclist was continuing straight on South Main Street.
