Big Latin Food and Music Festival Coming to the Jersey Shore

WILDWOOD, NJ – The Puerto Rican Action Committee (PRAC) of Southern New Jersey has announced the dates for the highly anticipated 2023 Festival Playero Latin Food and Music Festival. This year’s festival will take place on Friday, August 11, and Saturday, August 12, in the picturesque Wildwoods, NJ. The event will be held on the beach at Lincoln Avenue, nestled between Morey’s Adventure and Mariner Piers.

Attendees can look forward to an impressive lineup of Latin music performances, headlined by renowned acts such as El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Raul Acosta and Oro Solido, and Brenda K. Starr. In addition to these stars, the festival will also showcase up-and-coming talent from the local region.

Apart from the soul-stirring music, visitors will be treated to an array of authentic Latin food options, promising a delightful culinary experience. For those seeking refreshments, a cash bar offering wine and beer will be available for sale throughout the event.

Ralph Padilla, the CEO of PRAC of Southern New Jersey, expressed his excitement at hosting South Jersey’s largest bicultural/bilingual Latin music festival once again. The festivities kick off on Friday, August 11, with a White Night party hosted by Morey’s Piers PigDog Beach Bar from 7-11 p.m. This exclusive event is open to Executive VIPs and VIPs, with a strict all-white dress code. Attendees will enjoy music from Noche Blanca and savor delectable appetizers for the first two hours, with a cash bar available for drinks.

The main Festival Playero event will take place on Saturday, August 12, running from noon to 9 p.m. on the beach. Attendees are advised to bring towels to secure their spot on the sandy shore.
