TRENTON, N.J. — Bill Spadea, a Republican candidate for New Jersey governor, shared his preparations Sunday morning as he geared up for President Donald Trump’s inauguration festivities amid the region’s winter weather advisory.
Taking to social media, Spadea showed off his newly delivered shoe protectors, an accessory designed to cover and shield shoes from water, snow, and mud. Typically made of waterproof materials like silicone or rubber, shoe protectors are often used to keep footwear clean and dry during inclement weather.
“Good morning New Jersey! My Amazon order of shoe protectors arrived in time for the expected weather today!” Spadea wrote, referencing the snowy conditions expected as hundreds of supporters lined up for Trump’s rally.
While shoe protectors are not considered a common fashion item, they are a practical solution for people looking to preserve their footwear, especially during harsh weather or outdoor events. Spadea added that he planned to start his day with Mass before attending the rally and preparing for his appearance on NJ 101.5’s morning show Monday.
