Body Found In D.C. Prompts Investigation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating human remains discovered on Easter morning in Northeast D.C.

Shortly before 8 am, First District officers arrived at the 800 Block of 1st Street to investigate a report of an unconscious person. Police found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police have not given any other details, and the investigators have not disclosed the identity or age of the victim.
