BOSTON, MA – A 42-year-old Boston man was taken into custody Monday morning after allegedly stabbing another man near a residential property at the intersection of Wayland and Dacia Streets in Roxbury, according to police.

The incident unfolded around 10:14 a.m., when officers from District B-2 responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing near 27 Dacia Street. Upon arrival, they found an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening.

Police learned the attack occurred outside the residence, near the side of the property, and began canvassing the area. A short time later, officers located the suspect, identified as Jacques Lassy, 42, sitting inside a nearby parked vehicle.

Following an on-scene investigation by district detectives, Lassy was arrested without incident. He is charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
