BALTIMORE, MD – A Bowie resident wasted no time claiming a $50,000 FAST PLAY prize this week at Maryland Lottery headquarters before quickly heading home.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Dodge Park Sunoco gas station, located at 7620 Landover Road in Hyattsville. The $5 Double Win game ticket was one of 20 top prizes in the game, with 15 top prizes still remaining, according to Lottery officials.
After completing the paperwork to claim his prize, the winner briefly chatted with staff, answered a call on his cell phone, and politely excused himself, eager to get back to his day.
The Sunoco station will receive a $500 bonus, equal to 1% of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. The Maryland Lottery encourages players to check remaining prizes on games by visiting its website.
