WILKES-BARRE, PA – Police are investigating an alleged assault that occurred Tuesday morning at the Sherman Hills apartment complex, where a woman reported being attacked by her boyfriend.

Officers on patrol in the area were approached at approximately 8:23 a.m. by a 25-year-old woman who stated that her boyfriend, known to her only as “Mood,” had assaulted her, according to the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.

The victim told officers that the suspect dragged her out of bed by her hair, struck her multiple times in the face, and bit her arm before fleeing the scene.

Authorities said the woman was unable to provide further identifying details about the suspect, described only as a Black male.
