WASHINGTON, D.C. – A burglar forced a way into a closed Pennsylvania Avenue business in Southeast DC Thursday morning before stealing property and fleeing, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The break-in happened at approximately 9 a.m. in the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. Investigators said the suspect “forcefully entered the locked rear door” of the commercial business.
Once inside, the suspect took property and fled the scene, police said. Nearby surveillance cameras captured images of the person investigators are now working to identify.
