Brick Township Police Say Social Media Murder Rumor Not True

BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. — The Brick Township Police Department has addressed recent rumors circulating within the community concerning a medical incident that occurred in the Midstream’s neighborhood on Thursday, August 22, 2024.

Chief David Forrester released a statement clarifying that after a thorough investigation, conducted in collaboration with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigations Division and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, it has been confirmed that the incident was a natural medical event.

Contrary to circulating rumors, there were no criminal elements involved, and at no time were residents in any danger.

“The Brick Township Police Department is committed to reporting accurate information once a full investigation is completed,” Chief Forrester stated, emphasizing the importance of relying on official channels for information.
